AAPIO gives priority to career guidance, career development and continuing education for its physician members at all stages.
Continuing Medical Education: In this effort, we hold regularly scheduled CME events on a range of health topic and health care issues.
Career Guidance: We provide resources for mentoring and guidance for medical students and physicians in training to pursue their career of interest in the field of medicine.
We provide opportunities for young physicians to broaden their horizons by traveling abroad for international health rotations.
Career Development: Established mentorship exists for International Medical Graduates preparation for Residency training.
In addition, the AAPIO Charitable Foundation awards yearly educational scholarships to medical students in the Bay Area.
